The Role

About the Role
You will be tasked with providing assistance to the Director & Company Secretary for the timely and effective management of the Legal Affairs of the Company.


What you’ll do
Provide accurate, effective, and timely legal advice and support across a range of issues such as Commercial Contracts, Landlord and Tenant and Employment matters
Become a trusted business advisor to the Directors and members of the Senior Management team
Assist operational teams in negotiating satisfactory Commercial Contracts with clients
Prepare, review and negotiate a range of commercial and transactional agreements
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in the UK and Ireland on a range of commercial legal matters
Proactively identify legal risks to the business and develop strategies to minimise them
Approach all transactions with a clear focus on commercial risk assessment and management
Provide an oversight on the legal affairs of the company in the UK and Ireland
Keep up to date with developments in all aspects of law and regulation
Provide clear and legal analysis of issues and new legislation to the Senior Management team
Support external legal advisors and counsel


What you’ll bring
We are looking for a professional, skilled, commercial lawyer with the following skillset:
A proven track record of creating effective legal defensive and proactive strategies
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce timely and tailored legal advice
The ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks to all audiences, regardless of their understanding of law
Reliable legal judgement and appreciation of legal risk
Can think strategically and creatively, see legal issues in their wider context and advise accordingly
Excellent negotiating and drafting skills
The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business and with clients
A 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work well under pressure
Self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload efficiently
Having strong presentation and communication skills 
Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment will be considered as a bonus

Applicants must be qualified to practice as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive in England and Wales
