Senior Marketing Executive – Maternity Cover - £33,000 per annum
Location: Uxbridge / Hybrid
Contract: Fixed term maternity cover – initial 6 months, potential to extend to 12 months, start asap
Make an impact with APCOA
At APCOA, we're helping shape the future of parking and mobility. Behind every journey is a customer, a client and a great experience, and our Marketing team plays an important role in making that happen.
We're looking for an experienced, confident and proactive Senior Marketing Executive to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a hands-on role where you'll have genuine ownership of your work. You’ll manage a defined portfolio of campaigns, projects, products and client activity across APCOA's UK and Ireland business.
You'll take campaigns from brief to delivery, planning activity, managing budgets and stakeholders, coordinating agencies, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to make things better. It's a broad role with plenty of variety, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the action, is comfortable making decisions and can keep multiple priorities moving at the same time.
What you'll be doing
- Campaign ownership: Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels, managing timelines, budgets, deliverables and results from brief through to evaluation.
- Digital & customer marketing: Deliver customer communications across email, websites, mobile apps, push notifications and social media, supporting acquisition, engagement and retention.
- Performance marketing: Manage activity across PPC, paid social, display, SEO and website marketing, working with external agencies where appropriate.
- Products & launches: Lead marketing activity for APCOA's products, services and digital payment propositions, including new site, product and service launches.
- Data & optimisation: Use customer and campaign data to monitor KPIs, identify opportunities and optimise activity to improve engagement, conversions, revenue and ROI/ROAS.
- Stakeholder management: Act as the marketing lead for allocated projects, products and clients, building strong relationships across Commercial, Operations, Digital, Technology and other teams.
- Agency & supplier management: Brief and manage agencies, designers, media partners, printers and other suppliers, ensuring work is delivered to the required standard, timescale and budget.
- Brand & offline marketing: Develop and coordinate customer-facing materials including signage, posters, banners, customer information and promotional activity, ensuring everything is accurate and aligned with APCOA's brand.
- Commercial management: Manage allocated marketing budgets, monitor performance and provide clear insights, recommendations and updates to senior stakeholders.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with the wider Marketing team to coordinate priorities, share ideas and continuously improve our marketing activity and customer experience.
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced marketer who is confident taking ownership, making decisions and getting things done. You'll ideally bring:
- Proven experience in a Senior Marketing Executive or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong experience planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns from brief through to execution, optimisation and reporting.
- Good knowledge across PPC, paid social, email, websites, SEO and digital customer journeys.
- Experience managing budgets and using performance data to understand customer behaviour, revenue, conversions and return on marketing investment.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities and deadlines with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with internal stakeholders, clients, senior colleagues and operational teams.
- Experience briefing and managing external agencies, suppliers and creative partners.
- Strong copywriting, proofreading and communication skills, with a focus on producing clear, customer-focused and accurate marketing.
- Someone who takes ownership, solves problems, keeps projects moving and knows when to make a decision and when to escalate.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, alongside experience using analytics and reporting platforms.
Experience in parking, mobility, travel, transport, retail, hospitality or another consumer-facing environment would be advantageous but isn't essential. Experience marketing mobile apps or digital products, particularly customer acquisition, CRM, engagement and retention, would also be a plus.
This role is for someone who wants ownership, not a list of tasks.
You'll be trusted to manage your own portfolio of campaigns, budgets and stakeholders, while working collaboratively with the wider Marketing team. One day you could be developing a campaign plan; the next, briefing an agency, writing customer communications, reviewing performance data, managing a budget or presenting recommendations to a senior stakeholder.
You'll need to be proactive, dependable and commercially minded, with the confidence to keep projects moving, solve problems and make decisions within your area of responsibility.
Ready to make your mark?
If you're an experienced marketer who enjoys taking ownership, working at pace and turning insight into action, we'd love to hear from you.
