The Role

Civil Enforcement Officer

High Wycombe - Part Time Opportunity

18 hours per week: Including a permanent Saturday

£14 Per Hour

Do you enjoy working outside? Would you like to have a positive impact on your local area? Are you looking for a role that offers flexibility around studying or other commitments you have during the week?

If this sounds like you, then we have the perfect opening to suit your schedule!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Enforcement Officer in Buckinghamshire to work part time, with a focus on weekend cover. Civil Enforcement Officers ensure that drivers follow parking policies on public streets and in car parks. They play an important role in keeping roads moving and helping to maintain safe and accessible local areas.

This is a 18 hour per week position, with a permanent 8 hour shift every Saturday. The remaining hours will be worked flexibly across the week, with Sunday cover particularly important to us. However, due to reduced operating hours on some Sundays, we may not always be able to offer a Sunday shift.

We want to be open and transparent about the hours available, while offering flexibility wherever possible to work around your other commitments.

This opening would suit someone who:

  • Enjoys working outside – think of all that fresh air and exercise!
  • Wants to join a reliable business and team, playing a key role in your local area.
  • Has excellent Customer Service skills and enjoys working with the public.
  • Likes to be part of a large, diverse team but can work by yourself without too much direction.
  • Is resilient, reliable and conscientious.
  • Is looking for a role with a regular Saturday commitment and flexibility around their other commitments.

Does this sound like you? If so, what will you bring?

  • You will have excellent customer care skills and be able to converse in a friendly and effective manner.
  • You will patrol public streets and council car parks to issue Penalty Charge Notices.
  • You will guide the public on rules and advise about parking provisions.
  • You will report any defects to street furniture, such as signs and road markings.
  • A Full UK driving licence or CBT licence would be beneficial for this role.

What we can offer to you:

  • A mobile allowance can be given to drivers/moped riders (conditions apply).
  • 18 hours per week, including a permanent 8 hour Saturday shift.
  • Flexible hours outside of your Saturday commitment, with weekend cover particularly important.
  • Sunday shifts may be available depending on operational requirements and opening hours.
  • Opportunity to work overtime, if suitable.
  • 10 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays.

We provide uniform, employee awards, a discount scheme and a pension scheme.
